AFL Draft Success for Two East Point FNC players
Congratulations to Harry Sharp and Nick Stevens who both were drafted to AFL clubs in the 2020 NAB AFL Draft.
Both players are from the East Point FNC and in 2019 were part of the GWV Rebels in the NAB League.
Harry was drafted at number 43 to the Brisbane Lions and Nick at 47 to the Geelong Cats.
They were both part of the Western Bulldogs NGA V/Line Cup team in 2017 and consistently represented the Ballarat FNL junior interleague teams over a number of years.
Harry was also part of the AFL Goldfields U17 squad in 2018 which traveled to Far North Queensland.
AFL Goldfields Region Manager Gerard Ryan said, "all within the region are always pleased to see local juniors getting their opportunity to play Australian football at the highest level."
"To get this stage of being drafted each of the boys and their families and football clubs which they have been part of have invested a great of time and effort over many years and it is pleasing to see this commitment to their future opportunities being rewarded."
AFL Goldfields wishes Harry and Nick the best wishes as they take the next steps of playing in the AFL competition.
